Tourist Visa to Turkey
An Overview of the Turkish Visa, or Visas in General
A visa is prior authorization for foreign nationals to enter the territory of a given country, whether for tourism or other purposes. Turkey allows citizens of certain countries to enter without a visa — for example, Jordan and Lebanon — or with an e-visa applied for online, as with Egyptian citizens, subject to an age requirement, or a visa on arrival upon entering Turkey, as with Canadian citizens. The most common type among citizens of Arab countries is the standard sticker visa, applied for at the diplomatic mission — the Turkish embassy or consulate — in the country where the applicant wishes to apply. This requires a prior appointment and is subject to certain requirements and conditions; it may be approved or it may be refused. You can consult our articles section and the section dedicated to the Turkish visa for comprehensive, complete details and all the information needed to increase your chances of approval.
Naturally, Turkey is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations, whether in summer or winter, thanks to its mild climate, reasonable prices, and ease of access through airports as well as land and sea border crossings. We should not forget its distinctive climatic diversity, with mountains, forests, seas, and rivers — in addition to its rich historical heritage.
