-Sworn Translation? What Is Meant by Sworn Translation?
It is translation that is officially recognized by a specific state — meaning a Turkish sworn translator is officially recognized within Turkish territory and is not recognized outside it except in special, specific cases, and the reverse is also true. They are a Turkish citizen (in exceptional cases they can be a foreigner) who is fluent in another language alongside Turkish, of course in reading, writing, and speaking. A translator can be sworn in more than one language, provided they are fluent in it. The translator is sworn in before a specific notary, or more than one notary.
-Oral (Interpretation) Translation Outside the Company:
You can contact us to set your exact appointment, whether at hospitals, with manufacturers to purchase goods, or for purchasing real estate, so that Hallak Company for Sworn Translation is there beside you. If the translation is at a hospital or is medical translation, please provide some explanation of the case so that the necessary medical terminology can be prepared in advance. Prices vary but are calculated hourly, not including other expenses such as transportation, etc., etc. With Hallak Company for Sworn and Legal Translation, you will get the best quality at the best price. All you need to do is contact us.
-Important Notes Regarding Legal and Sworn Translation at Hallak Company.
Please make sure to send documents that show the names written in Latin letters (English or Turkish), for example: sending a copy of the passport, the Kimlik (Turkish ID), or the Turkish residence permit. This is to confirm the spelling of the names and match it with an official document — for example, the name Mohammed can be written in more than one way when translated into Turkish or English: Muhammed, Mohamad, Muhammad, Mohamad.
If you have several documents for the same family or person (birth certificates, family statement, family register, etc.), it is preferable to have them translated together by the same translator, so that all the details match exactly, whether the name of the birthplace or the neighborhood. If the translation is done by more than one translator, you may run into a mismatch problem due to differences in how names are rendered between one translator and another — hence this note. Aside from that, you will get a family package discount if the documents being translated are for an entire family's papers.
Before translation and certification at the notary, please make sure to check the expiration date of the documents (some documents carry an expiration date, for example a certificate of non-marriage or a certificate of no criminal record, etc.), because the translation and certification process at the notary cannot be definitively reversed.
When requesting translation of documents related to education (school or university certificates, transcripts, etc.), it is preferable to bring the name of the institution (the university or school), if available, in Latin letters, so that it matches the original name of the university or educational institution.
